ASEAN NCAP Decade of Safer Vehicles Award: Honda’s Best Road Safety Partner, Most 5-Star Toyota

During the celebration of its tenth anniversary today, ASEAN NCAP took the opportunity to present its Decade of Safer Vehicles Awards to recognize the vehicle safety achievements of automakers and individuals. .

Honda was the big winner here, collecting a total of six gongs. These included the best forward-facing child occupant protection in the 2017-2020 protocol for the Accord, the price of safety technology for the Civic (for autonomous emergency braking with detection of motorcycle), most five-star cars (adult occupant protection) in the 2012- 2016 Protocol and the Excellent Award for Consistent five-star for the city and civility. The company also received an award for being the best road safety partner.

Up close with four awards was Toyota, which received the best adult occupant protection in the 2017-2020 protocol for the C-HR, the best safety assistance in 2019 for the Toyota Majesty / Granvia and most five-star cars. both in the 2017-2020 protocol and as a whole.

Elsewhere, Nissan received the Best Adult Occupant Protection and Front-Facing Child Occupant Protection award from 2017-2020 for the Teana and Most Five Star Cars (Child Occupant Protection) from 2012 to 2020. 2016. The agency also recognized the contributions made by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) and the Global NCAP by awarding them the Excellent Award for Organizations. Road Safety Council (MKJR) Treasurer Ahmed Ismail Haji Amin and Malaysian Road Safety Research Institute (MIROS) Chairman Datuk Suret Singh also received the Excellent for Individuals award.
