New Delhi [India], July 19 (ANI): Western Railway introduces a newly improved Tejas Sleeping Car Rake. This represents a new era of improving the train travel experience.
Improved smart features have been introduced on Western Railway’s Mumbai Rajdhani Express trains. The new rake began its first run on Monday July 19, the Ministry of Railways reported.
Western Railway Marketing Director (CPRO) Sumit Thakur said, “Indian Railways is using Tejas SMART Coach to shift to predictive maintenance rather than preventive maintenance. This latest introductory trip by Tejas Sleeper-type long-distance train will enhance the passenger travel experience. Another paradigm shift by Indian Railways. “He also said that Tehas-type sleeping cars are manufactured at the Modern Coach Factory (MCF), which is gradually replacing high-end long-distance trains on the Indian rail network. ..
According to the ministry, two Tehas-type dormant coach rakes are ready to operate under the name Rajdhani Express. Of these two rakes, one is the first type of Tejas Smart Sleeper dedicated coach introduced by Indian Railways. The new train is equipped with special intelligent functions to improve passenger safety and comfort. Smart coaches aim to provide passengers with world-class facilities using intelligent sensor-based systems.
“Equipped with a computer unit for passenger and coach information (PICCU) with connection to the GSM network,” reports to the remote server.
